The Coastal Cypress Team

When you build with Coastal Cypress Building Company, you work directly with owner Steve Swain and his team of dedicated employees, to make the home of your dreams a reality. Their goal is to work with you to design a home that is luxurious and elegant, while retaining its sense of warmth and function all while providing exceptional personal attention through every step of the building process.

Steve Swain

Steve has been an entrepreneur his entire professional career. Having had the honor to work along-side his Uncle, David Swain at Swain & Associates, he has learned a method of doing business that maintains integrity and carries on the family’s development efforts on the Coast of North Carolina. With an Applied Mathematics’ degree from Davidson College, Steve has an insight into the economics and value of building houses while preserving a desire to serve his client’s first.

Steve is an active board member of The Wilmington Cape Fear Home Builders Association. He also has the pleasure of serving on The Board of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity.

Kelli Dengate

Kelli has been a design consultant with Coastal Cypress since 2016. She attended the Ohio State University in 2008 to study architecture after graduating with a Bachelors in Psychology from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Kelli provides all of our clients a customized and dedicated design consulting experience. Her goal is to give our clients the personal support and assistance they need to make the home building process as easy as possible.

If she is not working, you can catch her attending her kids sporting events.

Brandon Yourkiewicz

Every great Custom Home Builder needs a Master Carpenter and Brandon fills this role at Coastal Cypress. Brandon joined our team in 2014 and is responsible for leading the interior trim work amongst many other tasks. His attention to detail, craftsmanship and skill speaks for itself. Many of the custom trim designs found in our homes were created by Brandon himself.

Brandon, his wife, Erika and children, Harrison and Miller, love calling Wilmington home. If he is not on the job catch Brandon at a paintball course.
